We are all aware that a professional estimate can be the difference between winning a contract and losing it and indeed making a good return and not. At PTS we are more than aware of this and fully understand that attention to detail can make or break a job. With this in mind we offer a full estimating service simply and economically by following the following steps: - Step 1 - Upon receipt of the relevant drawings, specification, bill pages etc, we will contact you to agree profit margins and labour rates etc along with any other relevant information regarding the contract. We will also require an anticipated start and finish date for agreeing preliminary costs (a full construction programme can be submitted if required). Once we have all the information we will than draft an outline tender ready for your review. Step 2 - We will Email you a copy of the outline tender for your appraisal / approval and contact you to discuss any changes you may feel are necessary. As all our tenders are computerised we are able to change any items instantaneously until we have a tender that you feel comfortable with. Then and only then will we transfer the costs onto either the submitted bill pages or a newly developed bill page by ourselves. Step 3 - Once the bill pages have been approved we will transfer the bill pages onto a PDF format and submit a bound hard copy to yourselves and your client. The bill pages to the client will be submitted with a fully qualified tender letter on your letterhead including your terms and conditions and any job specific qualifications. We will also submit a full set of worksheets, bill pages and copy of the tender letter to yourselves on a CD. In addition to the above we can also offer estimates based on sub contract costs where we would endeavor to obtain a minimum of three like for like quotes for each discipline by sending out full detailed enquiries with relevant information. Please note however, that if we are dealing with tight deadlines we cannot always guarantee that three like for like quotes will be obtained. |
